AFM 45

The AFM 45 is an effective harvesting head for thinning and final felling done with medium-sized forest machines. The head is equipped with a 75cm sawbar, good delimbing is made with four moving knives and feeding is via four motors linked to keep the tree moving. Accurate measuring is ensured by a hydraulic length measuring device and front knife diameter measuring is done with two sensors. The Motomit control system is a well proven unit which is very easy to operate. Over the past couple of years since the launch of the 45 head FMS have fitted them to a variety of 14T excavators, they have proved to be a very good match with customers delighted with the machines output and capacity.

AFM 55

AFM 55 is a solution for clear felling and later thinning operations, made with middle sized forest machines. AFM 55 has big capacity and perfect holding geometry for the big stems. High flow hydraulics together with proportional pressure adjustment utilise the base machine power. Three roller feeding together with four delimbing knives ensures high quality production. AFM 55 fits efficiently on 12-18 tons forest machines and on excavators up to 18 tons.

AFM 60

AFM 60 has an excellent reputation as a strong, reliable, and versatile harvester head. With its compact design, the AFM 60 is suited perfectly to both hardwood and softwood operations. A short frame with one pair of heavy-duty delimbing knives makes processing even the lowest-quality trees with heavy limbs easy.

The AFM 60 is used in all kinds of harvesting methods and operations: cut-to-length, tree-length, and processing. The long delimbing arms of the AFM 60 make working from the pile and picking up windfall trees an easy task, allowing you to use your machine as a harvester or a processor. The AFM 60 is perfectly suited to 18 or 22-ton excavators

AFM 65

AFM 65 is a strong, reliable and highly productive harvester head for medium sized wood which can work on both wheeled and tracked machines. AFM 65 means an optimal combination between capacity, weight, feeding power and force and is an efficient tool for clearfells big thinnings and processing operations. Four movable knives on AFM 65 allow smooth and accurate delimbing even of big trees with heavy branches. The stem is constantly centered in the head with four feeding rollers ensuring precise length and diameter measuring.

Proportional adjustments of pressures on rollers and knives according to the stem diameter increase considerably the effectiveness of feeding and delimbing. The shape of knives on AFM 65 allows easy pick up from a pile or in wind blow AFM 65 can work with a variety of different measuring systems and can be easily adapted to any type of base machine. The AFM 65 is perfectly suited for 20-25 tons excavators, wheeled and tracked harvesters.
